Conference Announcement call for papers

The Technical Sub-Committee on SPSBIC-2021 is accepting technical and research based papers/works that are exclusively on "The Role of Science and Technology in the Realization of Research and Development in the Era of Pandemic" for presentation at the 2021 Conference which will be held on 25th - 28th October 2021 at the School of Physical Science Complex, Federal University of Technology, Minna, Niger State, Nigeria.

Abstracts of no more than 300 words should be submitted here on or before 30th August 2021 by completing the paper submission form. Abstracts should clearly state the purpose, results and conclusions of the work to be described in the final paper. The Committee will not accept any paper submitted by email.

All Authors will be notified of the acceptance of abstract once the abstract has been reviewed. The full paper in line with submission guidelines should be submitted not later than 15th September 2021.
Final acceptance will be based on the full-length paper, which if accepted for publication, must be presented at the conference. We encourage early submission of abstracts and papers to facilitate registration and travel arrangements. The language of the conference is English

  1. Sustainable Management of Pandemic;
  2. Global Change, Responses and Strategies for Limiting Pandemic;
  3. Modeling and Monitoring of Pandemic;
  4. Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics as Leveraging tools for Management of Pandemic;

Submission guidelines
Abstracts should not exceed 300 words and should contain title, author/s names, full address, and email address. Include at least four keywords. Full paper submitted to the conference must follow SPS conference author’s guidelines.

Author Guidelines

  • All abstract and full paper submissions must go through website submission form. Prior to submission, all participants need to register on this website-
  • Authors must ensure that contents of any submission are original and not held by the copyright of any other publication.
  • It is assumed that the submission is approved by all authors and the concerned authorities where the work was carried out.
  • It is the author’s responsibility to ensure that any submission does not contain libelous or unlawful statements or in any way infringe on the rights of others.
  • Only original works on the conference sub themes will be accepted
  • Poster or oral presentation are optional for the presenters . Poster section(s) come in during break periods , where the participants can visit their stands to ask question. Meanwhile the poster presenters also submit abstract like oral presentation.

Authors should submit all files online as a single-spaced WORD documents. The submitted WORD files should include:

  • Abstract: 300 words brief summary of the research paper.
  • Keywords: 3-7 words that encapsulate the key topics
  • Full Paper (The main manuscript): Main body of the manuscript without the author’s details to ensure an anonymous review (Submission File).
  • Author details: full name of each author with an identification of the corresponding author, affiliation of each author at the time research was completed, e-mail address of each author, and brief professional biography of each author (Supplementary File 1).
  • Cover letter: publishing request with article title, target journal, and names, affiliations and contact details of Author(s). (Supplementary File 2).
  • Any additional Supplementary Files are welcomed.

Main Section
The main manuscript should contain the following sections:

  • Title
  • Abstract (100 – 300 words)
  • Keywords (3-7 words that encapsulate the key topics)
  • Main body that is not restricted to specific format but rather hinges on the manuscript type and methodology (e.g., original research article, review article, surveys, case studies, technical and management reports, viewpoints, book reviews, notes, commentaries). However, the main body may address the following sections:
    • Introduction
    • Background or Literature Review
    • Materials and Methods or Research Methodology
    • Results
    • Discussion
    • Conclusions
    • Acknowledgments (if any)
  • References
